Hi, my name is Ips. I’m a current graduate medical student (MBBS) at the University of Warwick and I hold an undergraduate honours 1st class degree in Biomedical Science. I am creative, adaptable, and forward-thinking, with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to develop and manage relationships.
I am an ambitious, enthusiastic, and hardworking individual and have been tutoring students for the last 7 years, with over 800+ hours of teaching experience. Further to add, I am adept at public speaking and use my skills to mentor and tutor all types of students to best prepare them for interviews. With plenty of experience with university applications, UCAT, personal statement and interviews - I have helped over 85+ students successfully get into medical school.
I am adaptable, and will always ensure that my tutee is comfortable with the teaching method, helping them excel and get reach their true potential. I cannot emphasise the importance of organisation. I like to teach in a methodical and chronological way in order to properly structure revision and drill down into concepts with detail. I am happy to revisit topics for further clarification and will always provide useful and reflective homework.
For skills such as interviews and public speaking - it is really important for me to understand the person and then help them to enhance the amazing qualities they already have!
As I have been tutoring since 2018. I am also experienced with teaching students with learning difficulties - adjusting to what works best for them. Having done GCSE and A-Levels - I can relate to my students and will be able to help them from my own personal experience. I am super friendly and would like to help every step of the way - I believe it is really important to build a rapport with my tutees.
